    Telephonics' Advanced Technologies are Deployed Globally

    Today, Telephonics remains steadfastly committed to advancing its core surveillance, communications, analysis and integration technologies, providing our aerospace, defense and commercial customers worldwide with a distinct tactical advantage, even in the most challenging of environments.

  2. 2019

    Telephonics Announces Expansion in Elizabeth City, NC

    On August 6th, 2019 Telephonics announces its expansion in Elizabeth City, NC with a ribbon cutting ceremony at our new manufacturing facility. The additional workspace allows for continued growth of our manufacturing capabilities. Operations within the facility began in the spring of 2020.

  3. Mahindra Telephonics Joint Venture

    2013

    Telephonics Announces Joint Venture, Mahindra Telephonics Integrated Systems, in Prithla, India

    Incorporated in April 2013, Mahindra Telephonics Integrated Systems (Mahindra Telephonics) is a joint venture between Mahindra Defense Systems Limited and Telephonics Corporation. The business is focused on the development and manufacture of leading-edge surveillance and communications technologies for the Indian aerospace, defense and civil sectors. An important milestone for Mahindra Telephonics was the opening of the first private joint aerospace and electronics manufacturing facility in Prithla, India, which took place in February 2014.

    Telephonics Opens Aircraft Integration Services in Elizabeth City, N.C.

    In 2010, Telephonics opened its Aircraft Integration Services in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. This facility contains a state-of-the-art repair, upgrade, test and integration center, training and demonstration room, as well as a dedicated staff of experienced support personnel.

    2005

    Telephonics Acquires Systems Engineering Group (SEG)

    In 2005, Telephonics acquired Systems Engineering Group (SEG). Headquartered in Columbia, Maryland, SEG, a provider of combat system engineering services to the Missile Defense Agency and the U.S. Navy, is well recognized for its engineering and analytic contributions to U.S. ballistic missile defense efforts and professional support services for the Navy's acquisition community.

    2004

    Telephonics Acquires TruLink from Saab AB

    In 2004, Telephonics acquired Saab AB’s Short Range Radio product line, naming the versatile wireless communications system TruLink® and expanding its capabilities to include encrypted and submersible options. Today, TruLink’s innovative capabilities are integrated with other Telephonics communications technologies offering customers a complete wired and wireless communications management system.

  7. 2000

    Telephonics Aquires Weather Radar Products from Honeywell, Inc.

    In 2000, Telephonics acquired the RDR line of weather radar products from Honeywell, Inc. The acquisition allowed Telephonics to expand our already successful line of maritime and imaging surveillance radar systems to include full color weather detection and avoidance capabilities. Today, the product line is an integral part of our Radar Systems division portfolio and our weather radar products are relied upon by countless military and civilian personnel around the globe.

    Telephonics Acquires the Command Systems Division of Eaton/AIL

    In 1988, Telephonics acquired the Command Systems Division (CSD) of Eaton/AIL. With its distinguished history dating to the earliest days of radar, Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) and Air Traffic Control (ATC) technology, CSD brought expanded capabilities to Telephonics. Today, Telephonics continues to develop, manufacture and deliver leading-edge systems and technologies to aerospace, defense and commercial customers worldwide.

    1977

    Telephonics Establishes Telephonics Large Scale Integration (TLSI)

    In 1977, to satisfy our own internal design requirement for more advanced, complex and increasingly sophisticated custom integrated circuits, Telephonics established its Telephonics Large Scale Integration (TLSI) subsidiary. TLSI has grown steadily since then into a leading supplier of custom Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASICs) to the automotive, industrial, defense/avionics and smart energy markets.

    Griffon Corporation Acquires Telephonics

    In 1961, Griffon Corporation acquires Telephonics.

    1949

    Telephonics Expands and Modernizes

    After almost 20 years of growth, Telephonics evolved from a small company with a handful of employees to over 500 employees, requiring relocation and expansion from its headquarters in Manhattan to a new and modern 80,000 sq. ft. manufacturing plant located in Huntington, Long Island.
